THE STORY
Love and Money is an ensemble musical set at a New York investment bank, where employees juggle careers, layoffs, AI, romance, betrayal, and questions about what makes life meaningful. At the center are Alice, a newly hired AI specialist from Nebraska who distrusts grand romance, and Fred, an earnest romantic who falls for her.
A misunderstanding involving Alice’s former boyfriend sends Fred to Boston, while their coworkers face infidelity, loneliness, ambition, faith, marriage, and conflicting ideas about love. Alice ultimately follows Fred to Boston, where they reconcile, and the company concludes that neither love nor money guarantees happiness or security, but facing life’s uncertainties together gives it value.
